the age-old adage, "like father like son," is very true in our family. eric is a lot like his wonderful dad and stryker is starting to show similar tendencies to eric - namely an engineer's brain.
we have toy lego cars that we collected from cereal boxes.
each car has three pieces that you can pull apart and mix and match with other cars.
i gave one to stryker {i realize it has small parts that he could choke on - i'm not a perfect mother} and he quickly dissected it. wondering if his ability to take the car apart was a fluke, i put it back together and give it to him. he took it back apart.
and so i play a little game of putting it back together and he takes it back apart. kids like repetition, right!? ;)
the other night i noticed he was pretty intent on something, so upon closer inspection i realized he was observing the base car piece that has wheels.
he was using one finger to delicately turn the wheel. he was mesmerized, i was thoroughly entertained, and here is the video.
what can i say, my kid's an engineering in training!!!

Look out! Before you know it he'll be dissecting the toaster to see why the bread doesn't toast evenly.
starting young... he's a smart kid!
