visit turned rescue

as i mentioned in the previous post, my mom wanted to visit with us before the weather turned for the worse, so my dad drove her up from st. george last monday. her trip was perfectly timed because my week turned crazy busy because of my calling.

i am on the stake cultural arts committee and the stake president decided he wanted us to put on another musical {they put one on a year and a half ago}. the chair asked me to be the director's assistant, so i was up to my elbows in paper creating contracts, rehearsal schedules, audition sheets, instructions, signage, etc. we spent 12 hours at the stake center last saturday - auditions, callbacks, and then final role assignments.

i was exhausted and ready to be with my family once 6:30 pm rolled around! i was so grateful that stryker was with someone who loves him almost as much as i do! :)

then we had a great little treat on sunday because sister, new guy, and baby heidi came to visit! heidi is so stinkin' gorgeous {just like her mama}! and i miss my sister. seeing her for a few hours just made the ache worse, but i am trying to act all grown-up and not pout about it. hopefully she and new guy will move "down south" once he's done with school. {ahem, hint hint} :)
