i almost threw over our annual halloween party this year because it seemed like a lot of extra work that i wouldn't know how to handle. i freely admit that stryker boy and i still have days where all we do is survive. but after hearing from a couple of friends about how excited they were to attend {namely to drink my white hot chocolate and mulled cider}, i decided i wouldn't let them down! it took me an entire week to prepare for the shindig, but breaking it down into small, manageable projects that i could accomplish day-by-day was the perfect plan for accomplishing such a "feat." {wow, how the tables have turned for the event planner! ;) }
we had some great costume representation, including three mummies, the cutest kitty known to man, ursula from little mermaid, darth maul, and waldo!
stryker was actually already crashed out in bed when our guests arrived. we snapped a few shots in our costumes before we jammied him up, but within seconds on putting the costumes on, we were experiencing some major issues. the title of stryker's garb this year was, "MUMMY & ME!"

i'll be honest and admit that it wasn't the greatest party ever {seriously, sorta lame}, but i'm claiming some points for even trying to host one now that i have a little one. :) sorry to those of you who came and were disappointed. i'm sure they will get better with time - it's all a matter of learning how to "re-manage" everything.
but it was a happy halloween!!!
