father like son - part II

november 9th was a particularly hard day for me. i don't know why, but it was just "not alisyn's day." it felt like an eternity before e came home from work and stryker was "on one," which of course did nothing to help my pathetic state of mind. so once e was home, i told him it was his turn to spend some time with the boy so that i could get dinner ready. being the ever-busy and multitasking man that he is, e slipped the boy into his snow suit, loaded him into his super saucer, and carried him into the garage.

STRYKER WAS IN HEAVEN. not only did he get to be by his dad, but he got to watch his dad's shiny tools pound stuff and make a lot of noise. he spent a good thirty minutes out there with his dad - which was just long enough to make dinner, breathe deeply, and gather my wits.

i think all three of us are extremely excited about the prospect of stryker walking so that he can spend time in the garage learning the "tricks of the trade" that his amazing dad will teach him.

and of course we'll upgrade the snowsuit to coveralls. :)
