JULY RECAP

Despite these hard times, we were blessed with many opportunities for fun and trips this summer, which was exactly what we needed!  So thanks to everyone who contributed in one way or another for making the good times possible!

JULY 4 - SPECIAL VISIT
We were able to "steal" one of my nieces for a week long visit to kick-off July.  It was awesome!  I put the poor girl to work with projects, projects, and more projects!

She ended up with some awesome decor items for her Paris-themed bedroom...

A custom Spicy Designs bag {she created the design and sewed several parts of it}...

And a crash course in photography - all of the decor pictures were taken by Jessica.  She has some serious natural talent!

We did have a little fun with some movie nights, fireworks on the 4th, and a couple shopping trips.  Stryker and I were very sad when the visit came to an end!

4th of July garb...

JULY 5 - PLAYING IN THE RAIN

JULY 13-24 - ROADTRIP: SEATTLE!
My dear friend, Deb, has a sister who lives in Duvall, WA {Duvall = my heaven on earth}.  Said sister and her hubby went on a rockin' trip - which included a LOT of biking - to Europe, so Deb and I got to chill with their two incredible sons for 12 days.  We did things like photo contests, and Lego building, and movie watching, and dancing and store hopping, and Badminton championships - and they got crazy! - and beach-going and berry picking and pie making and eating and downtown Seattle-ing.  In short, it was a long trip that was uber awesome!
Okay, so the 14 hour drive with a non-sleeping baby wasn't so fun, let's me honest!

Apparently granite is delicious.  Who knew?

Pie.  Glorious Pie!  We didn't get a picture of the delump apple pie we made...

This totem pole is located in the nation's GREATEST used bookstore - EVER!  The chicken butt was for E.

The Seattle Great Wheel

Gettin' stoked for our ride on the wheel.

Um...the boys were having  a good time...

Boy instantly became Ethie's little shadow...I am buddy.  :)

Wiping sand off boy's feet because he hated it!  We'll get there.
Headed home...

JULY 26
We celebrated Mr. S.A.C.'s b-day with some tasty dinner, dessert, and table-top ping pong.  Unfortunately, E walloped S.A.C. with a ping pong ball - straight to the forehead.  He was a good sport about it, we just felt bad that our gift to him was a big red welt.

Sweet baby Senya

Boy with Mr. S.A.C.

Yep.  Sure love him!

Spicy with her girls

Notice the table tennis set-up...

...and the injured b-day boy {welt about right eyebrow}.

JULY 27 - WHAT THE!?
I went into boy's room this morning and saw this...

...wood pieces from his crib sticking through the crib slots.  Apparently the boy was bored and decided to entertain  himself with the wood.  How he figured it all out, not to mention maneuver the pieces of wood through the slots, is beyond me.  The kid's crazy smart.

He doesn't actually sleep with his motorcycle...
He was sad because I left to get the camera.  It's such a cute sad face...
JULY 28 - CHILLIN' WITH DAD
Boy LOVES being anywhere his dad is.

JULY 30
Like I said, Boy LOVES being anywhere his dad is.

JULY 31 - FRONT TOOTH!
Boy's sporting a new front tooth!  We had a few not so totally awesome days the past couple of weeks thanks to the little sucker, but we're glad it's finally here.  Stryker's sure happy to show it off.  :)

I love where I live!!!
