our plan was to head down to st. george for thanksgiving this year, but sometimes plans don't go as you planned them. :)
e had a lot of work to do, so we opted to stay home so that he could catch-up on his outstanding projects. we spent a few quiet hours together on thanksgiving day and enjoyed a steak and potato dinner {turkey doesn't do much for us anyway}. it was low-key and restful, which in all reality was something all three of us needed.
my monthly migraine hit late that night, so stryker got to spend friday with his gma and gpa sorensen. it was a huge blessing that they were available and willing to help us out - especially because e wanted to get his work done!
we then spent a few hours with the sorensen clan on sunday as we celebrated an awesome young "soon-to-be" missionary, our nephew charlie. {he reported to the mtc yesterday.} charlie gave an awesome farewell talk and the spirit was strong. i have confidence in his ability to find those who are ready and willing to accept the gospel. he will be a productive instrument in the lord's hands. we love him and are very proud of him! we are so grateful we belong to such loving, supportive, and generous families! we are so grateful for temple covenants that allow us to be with these wonderful people through the eternities {talk about a party!!!}.
we are grateful for our amazing friends - our "extended family" - and for their willingness to love us even on our "bad days." :)
we are grateful for work and the comfortable home and quiet neighborhood we live in, as well as the beauties that surround us and remind us of god's love.
we are grateful for our callings and the ability we have to use our time and talents in building up the kingdom of god.
we are grateful for the restored gospel of jesus christ and for his atonement. we are grateful for the hope, peace, joy, and confidence it offers us on a daily basis.
we are grateful for little stryker boy and his sweet disposition and loving personality. he is a true and precious blessing from heaven.
we love you all and hope your holiday season is full of all the blessings you stand in need of.

SO SORRY for "BAD DAYS". If I could do anything about that I would make sure you didn't have any. It looks like I'm going to have to come up and finish that crib for Stryker, before he can climb out of the porta-crib.
