stryker boy's 9 months!

well, we'll see about that massive post, blogging time is hard to come by right now. life's a bit crazy!


but stryker is 9 months old today and i couldn't slack on my tradition of "journaling" his many accomplishments!

9 month check-up stats:

length: 29.25" - 80th percentile
weight: 18 lbs 1 oz - 25th percentile
head circ: 17.3" - 25th percentile

stryker is very close to crawling, in fact he already crawls backwards and then gets frustrated because he's headed in the wrong direction. :) he has great form when on his hands and knees {such a straight back!} and it's fun to watch him figure it all out. he has discovered the top of his head and loves to pat it. he also covers his eyes and plays peek-a-boo {sometimes he just pats his head and waits for you to ask, "where is stryker?"} which is stinkin' adorable. he is capable of holding his own bottle, sippy cup, and putting food in his mouth, but much prefers that someone else do it for him. and that's okay for now, he is still a baby. ;)

i recently gave stryker a puzzle to play with and it has quickly become one of his favorite things to figure out. he'll pick up a piece and i'll point to where it belongs and he'll attempt to put it in the spot i showed him. i'm nervous about the intelligence of this child - at least i know how to help him find answers... :) he loves to read books {he turns the pages of his board books really well}, do anything with his dad, snuggle with mom, and smile at the girls {really quite the flirt}.

stryker is as vocal as ever and i am getting really excited to hear his little voice start asking me questions. he loves to laugh and "sing." we sure love our little man and we are so grateful that he is such a happy and healthy baby. simply put, STRYKER ROCKS!!!
