why does time pass at a quicker rate the older you get? is it just because we have more to do? i was minding my own business prepping for camp and BLAM! we're one week out until it's september.

i finally painted a wall in the house. cascading orange dots. i love it! now onto the living room... we sold our green microfiber couch and bought a sweet black leather love seat and an over-sized grey chair. we also have two vibrant green chairs on loan in there as well. it's nice to finally have things look and little more "me."

we have had a cornish game hen in our freezer for a couple of years now. a few sundays ago, e decided it was high time to bake and eat the sucker. e rubbed herb infused oil all over the bird and baked him to perfection. 
we affectionately called it our "poo man feast." perspective behind such reasoning seen below.
though not much bigger than an orange, e carefully carved the bird and even saved the wishbone for well-wishes {of which i won...}.

one of our absolute most favorite past-times is spending time outdoors...more specifically up our canyon. we celebrated a very dear friend's birthday up there a few weekends ago. it was perfect! it had rained earlier, so there were lots of fun mud puddles to play in.
not sure what's happening to e in this one... ??? happy b-day, SAC!
no canyon trip is complete without MAN DOGS! {a man dog is a gourmet beef dog stuffed with cheddar cheese which is then wrapped in bacon.} yes, you missed out.

e still has his two most favorite callings EVER - assistant financial clerk and elder's quorum teacher. i am now on the stake activities committee and rs communications specialist {huh!? my thoughts exactly}. we are both keeping very busy with working full-time day jobs, working full-time night jobs {speednut and spicy}, and all the other niceties and funities of life. we are happy, exhausted, and so grateful to have each other for love, support, and perspective. life is good. it's always good, but right now, it's real good!!!

Love the update and the photos. My computer crashed, just got it back, so I've got to spend some time updating, when I can. Much to reinstall. I always make 1 game hen per person. Try that some time. Love you and can't wait to see you.
right, just realized that i typed "poo" not "po" man's feast. that's embarrassing. i assure you, we did not eat poo. :)
I laughed so hard seeing E carve the big bird! LOL
